Biog

A speedy right winger or striker, Nicky signed for Celtic aged sixteen after being attached to Hibernian as a schoolboy. He had learned his trade in the 'Brazilian Soccer School' devised by legendary self-publicist and friend of Juninho, Simon Clifford. Micah Richards of Man City and England is another famous alumnus of BSS.

Made excellent progress through the U19s and began to feature in first team friendlies by the end of 2005/06. Spent 2006/07 playing and scoring regularly in the reserves, occasionally sitting on the first team bench as one of the allotted U21 players.

Sadly the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons were totally washed out by a serious injury. With Riley's return to fitness and the fitful nature of Celtic's reserve setup in 2009/10 it was beneficial to let him play some football elsewhere.

To this end he was released to train with Hamilton Academical in January and signed a short-term deal with them on 15 February 2010. Not kept on and joined Dundee for pre-season training in July 2010.

From official site:

Edinburgh-born Nicky Riley made his first-team debut during the pre-season trip to Poland in 2006, but was sidelined for the whole of the 2007/08 campaign through injury. Capable of playing as a wide midfielder or striker, Riley is blessed with real pace and possesses a tremendous work ethic.
