Background

Started in 2017, following a turn in form for Dedryck Boyata, the fans (via Green Brigade section) started up a new song for the previously underfire player.

The lyrics are sang to the tune of US songster Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start the Fire.

Notes: Celtic had Denayer on loan for a season who was a revelation, and we wished to keep him but Man City (his parent club) took him back and sent him on loan elsewhere. In replacement we got Boyata, who after a poor first 18mths, finally came onto a game under Rodgers. So the lyrics are a tongue in cheekreference to that.
