Review

Dalglish is the Celtic hero again with another fine goal after playing a 1-2 with Ronnie Glavin.
Celktic had to fight all the way for this win. Killie fought hard and had the best of the game in the first quarter of an hour. After the break for the fighting on the terraces Dalglish put Celtic in front as Harr Hood crossed, Glavin headed on and Dalglish shot home.

Ally Hunter's two great saves in the second half ensure Celtic take the points.

Celtic had trouble with a young right winger for Kilmarnock – future Celt Davie Provan

With Rangers losing the previous week against Airdrie Celtic had gained a lead at the top of the table at the end of the year.
