Trivia

  • A rather hastily arranged game to give some of the new players and reserves a run out as well as further assessing George Connelly
  • Notable for the first mention of Roy Aitken who had joined the groundstaff this year from Celtic Boys Club.

Review

A young Celtic side found themselves somewhat overwhelmed by the part-time pros of Stirling Albion.
Connelly, who was playing to attempt to win his first team place back was noted as having a poor game and his mistake was reponsible for the first Binos goal.
The bright spots for Celtic were the performances of Tommy Burns and Andy Ritchie.
