Review

The game was delayed to allow long queues of fans to get into the ground.
Dixie Deans is recalled to the attack after a long lay off and thanks the fans for the great reception he is given. He had a goal disallowed which was hotly contested by the Celtic players.
Thomson hit a powerful header against the bar for St Johnstone. The first half was all pretty even till just before the whistle when McCluskey, who had been reinstated as penalty taker after the failures of Callaghan and Edvaldsson, scored from the spot after Paul Wilson was brought down by the keeper.
In the second half McCluskey added a second penalty. He then has an unwanted hat trick when Lynch clears the ball off him and into the net.
