Review

The game was played in streaming rain.
Pettigrew is the difference between the sides. He took his chances whereas Lynch and Lennox hit the woodwork with theirs. Celtic had a great deal of the first half possession without making it count and just before the half time whistle Pettigrew popped up to score with a header. The second goal came seven minutes into the second period and was the cue for unrest in the Jungle which sent the plods into action.

The greasy conditions made it difficult for passing and although Celtic had the majority of the possession 'Well defended in depth.
