17th 1936: Start of the Spanish Civil War. One of those who volunteered to help his fellow man was Celtic supporter James Maley, a born fighter who threw himself into the cause head first when in 1936 he answered the call of the Spanish Republic to fight the fascists.

1998: Celtic name Jozef Venglos as their new manager.
