1990: Charlie Nicholas joins Celtic from Aberdeen for his second spell at Parkhead

2009: Tony Mowbray’s first game in charge as Celtic Manager with The Hoops visiting Australia for the first time in 30 years beating Brisbane Roar 3-0 to win the Translink Cup.

2010: Celtic sign midfielder Joe Ledley on a Bosman free transfer. The Wales international moved to Parkhead after six years at hometown club Cardiff.

1927: Bobby Evans born in Glasgow.

2009: Landry N’Guemo was signed on a year long loan basis from Nancy with the option to buy at the end of the season.Landry became Tony Mowbray’s second signing.
